Charles (Chuck) Kuipers, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away with family at his side on Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was born on September 27, 1943 in Holland, Michigan and was married to the late Amber (Houck) Kuipers on December 18, 1965. The couple celebrated their 56th anniversary before Amber’s passing.

Chuck and Amber enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family, and hosting large gatherings for family and friends. Chuck ran his own roofing business in the New Holland, PA area for years. Later in life, he found a new occupation in driving the Amish to and from work every day. Throughout his life, he loved grilling, from taste testing other’s concoctions, watching cooking shows, judging events, to trialing new recipes on his own grill. His favorite role was as Gramps to his grandson, Hamish and granddaughter, Flora.

He is survived by his children, Leslie (Kevin) Logan, Stacy (Barry) VanDenHeuvel, and Allison (John Robinson) Kuipers; his grandson, Hamish Robinson; his granddaughter, Flora Robinson; his sister, Connie Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Viola (Mulder) Kuipers (Richardson) and six siblings; Robert Kuipers, Adelaide Brondyke, Kenneth Kuipers, Jack (John) Kuipers, Donald Kuipers, and Marianne Kalpakjian.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Dykstra Funeral Homes – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland.

A Service of Remembrance will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. Reverend Mark Waterstone will be officiating. Burial will be in Graafschap cemetery at a later date. Immediately after the service everyone is invited to a lite lunch for further fellowship and sharing.
