Carol Thorpe

Carol Agnes Thorpe, age 69, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

Carol was born in an old farmhouse in Jessup, Maryland on April 6, 1949. She is the third of eight children of Ross and Doris Busick. Carol had a passion for helping others, whether her dear friends, church members or her family of many. Carol spent her life serving her Lord and loving her husband Wayne for nearly 50 years. She resided in Zeeland for 40 years. Carol worked as an executive secretary for several years at Holland Motor Express and later with her husband at East End Radiator. She was loving, honest, faithful and forgiving. Carol didn't just tell you how she felt, she showed it. She led by example and supported others anyway she knew how. Mrs. Thorpe was a longtime member of Shekinah Revival Ministries in Holland.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Ross Busick; brothers in-law, Jerry Wolters, Larry Thorpe; sister in law, Pat Thorpe. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Thorpe of Zeeland, MI; mother, Doris Mae Busick; brothers, James Busick of Jessup, Maryland, David Busick, of Annapolis, Maryland, John (Janet) Busick of Churchton, Maryland, Edward (Angela) Busick of Randallstown, Maryland, Barbara Busick Wells of Jessup, Maryland, Daniel (Monica) Busick of Sykesville, Maryland; sister, Karen and (Daniel) Holstine of Fennville; in-laws, William Thorpe of Saginaw, Diane Wolters of Allegan, Cheryl Thorpe of Muskegon, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.

A funeral service will be held 11:00a.m., Saturday, September 8, at Shekinah Revival Ministries, 1941 Washington Avenue, Holland. Pastor Clif White officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00p.m., Friday, September 7, at the Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue, Holland, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
