Carol Beverwyk

Carol Beverwyk, age 76, of Holland went to be with her Lord and Savior and to reunite with her loving husband Roger on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at American House of Holland.

Carol was a member of Rose Park Reformed Church where she played the organ for over 30 years. She enjoyed cross stitch, puzzles, embroidery, knitting, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and camping with Roger all over the country. She had a passion for music and playing with grandmas girls. Carol directed a bell choir and was a member of the Dulcimer club for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Beverwyk in 2007 and her brother Ron Dekker in 2009.

She is survived by her children: Debbie and Ron Allen, Steve and Cindy Beverwyk, Beth Vander Weg and Roger Schripsema, Michael and Beth Beverwyk, Karen Beverwyk and Gary Heemstra all who reside locally; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister: Judy Timmer; sister and brother-in-law’s: Joyce Dekker, Sandy and Chuck Goulooze, Dave and Ann Beverwyk and Don and Marilyn Beverwyk; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Community Reformed Church, 10376 Felch Street in Zeeland. Reverend Greg Ten Brink will be officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Dykstra Funeral Home – Northwood Chapel, 295 Douglas Avenue in Holland. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association or Kindred Hospice. Please visit www.dykstrafuneralhome.com
