Brian Serne

Brian Serne, age 60, of Holland, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022.

Brian was born August 15,1961. He grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School class of 1979. He married Becky Wood, the love of his life, and was married for 38 years. Brian and Becky lived in Holland and Brian was a painter for Thermatron for 23 years. Brian loved music and was a wealth of knowledge in the field of music trivia. He collected handmade art, especially by artist Marie Curie. Brian loved his tattoos and even won a trophy for his tattoo artist. Brian loved his pets and the people he was closest to.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Laverne Serne and is survived by his wife, Becky Wood Serne of Holland, his sister, Linda (Serne) Stalder, of Barberton, Ohio, nephew Greg (Rochelle) and his family, also of Barberton.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday (March 18) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel, 133 West 32nd Street, with the Rev. Dr. Daniel Gillett officiating.

Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday (March 17) at the funeral home.
