Bonnie Weikert

Bonnie Weikert passed away June 3, 2025 at the age of 74.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Floyd & Annabell VanDenBeldt; brothers Jerry VanDenBeldt, Dale VanDenBeldt; sister, Linda Morrow; and by her two children who passed at birth, John Edward Hindert, and Melissa Ann Hindert.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Nykamp, Joyce Santora; brothers, Lee VanDenBeldt, Al VanDenBeldt; nieces and nephews, Richard Borgman, Terri Teall, Valerie Hardy, Doug VanDenBeldt, Corla Wedeven, Tiffany Dekker, Tasha Mulder, Adri VanDenBeldt, Ari VanDenBeldt, Abi VanDenBeldt, Lori Lohman, Mike Nykamp, Shelley DeVries, Matt VanDenBeldt, Joe VanDenBeldt, Ross VanDenBeldt, along with many great nieces and nephews and cousins.

Bonnie worked in a variety of positions throughout her life from girls’ basketball coach to reserve officer for Ottawa County Sheriffs Department. She excelled as a grant writer and worked in education her whole life, ending her career as the Holland Community Education Director Principal of Alternative Education; parenting program with childcare, Adult Education with ESH, GEP. Her life motto was Live, Love, Laugh, Listen, Learn, and to Leave a Legacy.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 8th, at Dykstra Funeral Home—Mulder Chapel at 188 West 32nd St., Holland, MI 49423, from 4pm to 8pm.
