Beverly Brookhouse

Beverly J. Brookhouse, age 81, of West Olive passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at her home.

Bev was born in Holland, MI to Raymond and Irene (Ploeg) Ryzenga on April 19, 1943. She graduated from Holland High School and lived in Holland from 1943 – 1960 before moving to West Olive.

She was a seamstress at DeWaard Interiors retiring in 2003.

Bev’s passion was for every child to know who God is and to come to a personal relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She used her God-given gift to sew puppets. She gave a hand sewn puppet to every child who attended kids camp at Parkside Bible Church.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Bev was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Connie Sue Brookhouse, and a son-in-law, Clifton Tulsie.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, and children: Thomas (Leslie) Brookhouse, Daniel (Sue) Brookhouse, and Kerri Tulsie; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Parkside Bible Church, 14461 James Street in Holland. Pastor’s Gary Spykerman and Joe Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 10:45 am prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Parkside Bible Church – Kid’s Camp, 14461 James Street, Holland, MI 49424.
