Betty Vander Heide, age 95 of West Olive, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her home.
She was born on July 29, 1927 to Laura and Jasper Stygstra. Betty married Gerrit Vander Heide in 1949. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1988 and a daughter, Vicki Nyland on March 10, 2002.
Surviving family are her children, Shelley Walter, Craig and Karen Vander Heide, and Denise and Jay Prosch-Jensen; grandchildren, Elizabeth Loney, Garrett Vander Heide, Kelsey Prosch-Jensen, and Noah Prosch-Jensen. Betty loved her family and her grandchildren. She loved working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. Betty also loved crocheting and fishing. She will be missed by family and friends.
No services or visitations are scheduled. Memorials may be made to Spectrum Hospice. Arrangements are by the Dykstra Funeral Home-Northwood Chapel.
