Betty Herlein, age 82 of Holland, passed away December 16, 2021.
Betty worked at Holland Public Schools for over 30 years as a Resource teacher and also worked in the Library.
She was a long-time member of Christ Memorial Church. She enjoyed knitting, cross stich, and loved to read. Her greatest hobby however, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, James; granddaughter, Tiffany Herlein; grandson, Johnathon Herlein, and sister, Lois Lawrenz.
She is survived by her son; Steve (Regina Gracia) Herlein, grandsons; Josiah Herlein, Jakob Herlein; granddaughter, Brenna Herlein; brother, Laverne (Alma) Sterenberg; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Lawrenz, Ron (Pat) Herlein, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, December 22 from 5-7pm at Dykstra Funeral Home - Northwood Chapel (295 Douglas Ave. Holland). Funeral service will be on Thursday, December 23 at 11:00am at Christ Memorial Church (595 Graafschap Rd, Holland).
