Bessie Prins

Bessie H. Prins age 87 of Holland died at her home Friday, September 16, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Born in Holland, she attended Meadowbrook School where she graduated the 8th grade. For 25 years she was employed at G.E. retiring in 1988. Bessie was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church where she also attended the Bible Study Group.

She enjoyed music, her church and most of all spending time with her family.

Her husband of 61 years Floyd preceded her in death in 2009.

She is survived by her children; Robert and Nancy Prins of Holland, Terry and Myrna Prins of Holland, Betty and Jim Hoekstra of Plainwell, Marlene and Ron Van Dyke of Zeeland, Diane Nichols and Al Box of Holland, Connie and Jerome Balder of Hamilton, Dennis and Debra Prins of Holland, 19 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brother and sister in laws; George and June Prins of Holland, Shirley and Tim Brown of Holland and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 AM , Zion Lutheran Church, 77 West 32nd St. with Revs. Ryan Winningham and John Westra officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery.

Friends may call on the family Monday 2-4 and 6-8 at the Mulder Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 188 West 32nd St.
