I loving memory of Barbara Vander Meulen who passed away in her home on Oct 22 to be with the Lord in heaven. She was a truly devoted Christian woman who was a lifetime member of Emanuel Baptist Church.

Born in Holland, Mich on April 28, 1930. Preceded in death by her husband Raymond Vander Meulen and son Thomas David Vander Meulen. Survived by her sister, Betty Veurink. Children, Vicki Lynn Vander Meulen, Suzanne (Alan) Riemersma, Sally Rae Olund. Grandchildren, Gretchen(Rod) Sluis, Jackie Olund. Great grandson Devlin Sluis.

Barbara worked as a waitress and cook at Veurinks City Kitchen, and later as a cook at Holland Hospital before retiring . Her hobbies in life included, gardening , knitting, and sewing, but her true passion was making quilts for family and friends along with donating them to the Holland Rescue Mission and Pregnancy center.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Any donations may be submitted to the Holland Rescue Mission.
