Arlene Shepherd, age 88, of Douglas, MI passed away Monday, October 05, 2015 at Holland Hospital.
Arlene was a longtime resident of Douglas, Michigan where she and her husband owned and operated Shepherd’s Hardware Store. Arlene spent many years volunteering at Christian Neighbors of St. Peter’s Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Shepherd.
She is survived by her daughter Sue and Dennis Herbert of Douglas; grandchildren: Adam Herbert of St. Joseph, MI, Sara and Chris Knouse of Sarasota, FL, and Leah Herbert of Douglas; great grandsons, Landon and Maddox Herbert and Gunner Knouse; sister: JoAnn Kennard of West Covina, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 100 Peter Drive in Douglas. Father Stanley Witek will be officiating. Burial will be in Douglas Cemetery.
