He was a machinist, handyman, and a blueberry farmer. Alvin was always willing to help, teach and solve problems for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry J. and Cornelia Wassink, and his brothers Harry W. (Consuela) and Roger
He will be remembered and greatly missed by his sister-in-law, Ellen Wassink; nieces and nephews: Melody Russo, Jennifer (David) Scheeres, Barbara (Dennis) Ramthun, Patricia (Scott) Duemler, Kathy Wassink, and Dirk Wassink (Alicia) and many relatives and friends.
A funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Dykstra Funeral Home, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Reverend Daniel Denk will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
